4/23/2026: I had my first moonboard session since my little tweak. It was only for an hour, but I felt strong and was pain free. So, it is time to ease back into training. I met a young guy named Connor while climbing. What started as a couple minute tangent about music turned into a wonderful conversation about art, marxism, philospohy, and captalism. Climbing has a funny way of connecting you with people when you least expect it.
4/9/2026: My fingers are on the verge of injury. I can feel it. So I've been taking it really easy the past two weeks. Climbing nothing harder than v3 and 5.10-. I think I cought it before it became serious. So, the protocal now is to get blood to them and to not over stress them while the tendons repair themselves over the next month. Hopefully, I can have good new in a couple weeks.
3/29/2026: After an exciting trip to Horse Pens 40 and Hospital Boulders in Alabama, and Stonefort (and other little crags) in Tennessee, I have made lots of progress! I have sent a couple of v4s and one v5 outside. My Moonboarding is also going well. My diet has taken a backseat and I am not back at it. I weigh 164 lbs at the moment. I still am working towards the end goal of 150 lbs. But for not we will get down to 160lbs.
1/31/2026: I have hit a plateau with my weight loss, 3.5 pounds. I have to ether cut the calories downa bit more or increase my weekly cardio. I think rope climbing being my main focus becuase of a friend that only climbs with a rope has slowed my progress as a climber. In a 2.5 hour session I may climb 4 or 5 routes including thw warm up ones which tends to lead with me still having quite a lot of energy at the end of the session. But with bouldering, I can session for the same amount of time and feel like I used all my energy and overall spend more time actually climbing. I have climbing trip coming in March. I think it's time to go down to one rope day a week and boulder at least 2 times a week. Here's to hoping I can lose 5 more pounds by March 13th!
1/13/2026: I have lost a total of two pounds so far. I have 8 more to go before my first goal of 158lbs. I haven't noticed any difference in my body or climbing yet. But, I dont expect too until I've lost the full 10lbs. I will climbing with a new friend this weekend. I hope to rest well enough to enjoy my time climbing with him.
1/8/2026: Format tbd. A place to document and describe my journey to send v10 boulder grade and maybe my dream climb "God Module" v11. I am currently on a weightloss journey and looking to send every Moonboard v4 benchmark (without injurying myself).
